Project Overview

A mega 48,000 m² automated cold and dry logistics warehouse featuring 18-meter high clear racking, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), and multi-temperature pharmaceutical storage zones. RE Consultant acted as MEP Technical Consultant for life safety and electromechanical design verification.

Technical Solution

• ESFR Fire Suppression Engineering: Designed K-25.2 Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) pendent sprinkler grids according to NFPA 13, eliminating the need for in-rack sprinklers and offering maximum flexibility for dynamic robotic automated racking.
• Dedicated Fire Pump Station: Engineered a dedicated fire pumping facility with two 2,500 GPM @ 12 bar diesel-driven pumps and a 1,500 m³ dedicated water reservoir, providing 120 minutes of continuous demand.
• Thermal Stratification & Ventilation: Implemented High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) fans paired with automated smoke release dampers, maintaining air circulation and reducing summer roof-level heat load by 8°C.

Safety Verification

Successfully passed Civil Defense hydraulic flow and live fire smoke evacuation tests on the first audit inspection.
